Dilophosaurus Wetherlii "acidius"
Height: 8 feet
Length: 23 feet
Weight: 600 pounds
Coloration: Males are a vibrant yellow-orange, with black splotches all over their bodies. They have a green stomach, and their crests are a deep red with black markings. Females are a lighter yellow, with orange crests and lighter stomachs. Babies are a dark brown with small yellow crests and baby green stomachs.
Diet: Meat, usually stalking animals as large as Pachyrhinosaurus when in groups or Kentrosaphodon when alone.
Description: Dilophosaurs are one of the strangest mutants on the island. These creatures have a large, twin crest on their heads, which is used during the mating season to attract females and ward off rival males. Although their jaws are weak, Dilophosaurs make up for their weak bite force with a special ability similar to a spitting cobra; they can spit a foamy, saliva-like substance from glands in their mouths. This substance, containing seven different toxins, can be launched with precision from sixty feet away, is like acid; if caught in the eyes, it causes blindness and eventual paralysis. If not caught in the eyes, it can leave a burning sensation to the skin, which can turn into a deadly infection if left untreated. Dilophosaurs are family animals, tending to their young until they reach the size of a small pony, to when they are left on their own. Traveling in packs, they are cooperative animals, capable of bringing down large mutations as big as ceratopsians.
Territory: Jungle, or anywhere abundant of prey.
