Height: 4 feet
Length: 7 feet
Weight: 370 pounds
Coloration: Males are a deep maroon, with yellow and orange markings on their backs and stomachs, similar to the Triceratops. Their horns are tipped with yellow, to impress females. Females are a lighter maroon-orange, with yellow markings and smaller horns. Babies are a light orange, with yellow markings and a small horn.
Diet: Plants, usually low-lying shrubbery and sometimes fruit if avaliable.
Description: Consisting of the DNA of Styracosaurus and Protoceratops, Styracoceratops is the smallest ceratopsian mutant on the island. Traveling in large herds, these creatures have a small, rounded frill and a single, foot-long horn near the nose. This horn can be used to impale small creatures like Velociraptors, and can be used to shake shrubs to get at fruit. Like the Protoceratops, these mutants travel in large herds, often in a family group, with the babies and females in the center and males surrounding them. During the breeding season, Styracoceratops tend to gather to lay their eggs in nests dug into the ground, they watch over them until they can move around well. By that time, the herd leaves the nesting site, and travels around the island, eating the low-handing plants. Their beaks, which are tipped with sharp points, can be used as defense from an attacker, clawing into the sides of a foe, tearing flesh. These beaks are sharp enough to crack bone.
Territory: Anywhere with a good amount of legroom, sometimes making nests in the Jungle.
