Mountain Ranges

Primarily in the northern part of the island, the Mountain Ranges are home to the pterosaur mutants, as well as the smallest of mutants. The highest peak, named Mt. Pakaro by InGen, measures at nearly 1,400 feet, housed a small facility near the peak, but has fallen into complete disrepair, and only two small sheds still remain. The pterosaur mutants tend to make their nests here, free of most predators, but are also a danger to Mother Nature; a mere thunderstorm can wipe out a colony of nests in a minute. But, the mountains are indeed a safe haven; almost no mutants lurk here.

With the exception of one. Lucifer, the massive Kelmayisaurus adult, has made his home halfway up the mountain, which has a viewing point that overlooks the entire island. Due to a glitch in his DNA sequence, he hibernates most of the year, but he will sometimes come to ground level to hunt for food for his massive gullet.
