Aviary

Built to withstand the strongest storms, the Aviary was the original home for the pterosaur mutants cloned by InGen. Located near the Mountain Ranges, it was constructed of steel and swoops down to ground level, where artificial lakes were made to nourish the mutants. After InGen abandoned the island, the cages were left closed, trapping the mutants in the steel prison, thought to have died out. But, fate has it, the locks were broken during a storm, and the mutants were able to escape, now able to freely roam the island.

Now, the Aviary is deserted. The observation decks and compounds are still intact, but the hallways are empty, and what remains of man's touch has been destroyed by mutants. On the ground level, the lakes are still there, but around it, the ground is bare of the pterosaur mutants. Velocirapteryx tend to make their homes here, under the looming steel dome of the Aviary.
